The American Venous Forum (AVF) was experiencing high turnover of association management firms – ultimately leading to unstable membership numbers and finances. In 2018, BG was hired by the AVF to assess the situation and develop a strategy that would effectively change the course the AVF had been on. We are excited to be part of announcing the official new name of one of our longest-standing clients. As of this week, American Enterprise Group is officially Wellabe.

Since 2016, Balanced Growth and Wellabe have partnered on an array of initiatives covering all four of BG’s service areas: Strategy, Operations, Innovation and Implementation. Together, we envisioned and implemented an Operational and Technology Strategy to maximize efficiency; create a modern, digital customer experience; and maximize the value of data as an asset. Together, we created the Strategic Framework for evaluating partnerships and acquisitions. Together, we devised the strategy to maximize the value of Wellabe’s Agency (American Republic). Together, we imagined and implemented an innovation strategy through the formation of Wellabe Ventures, which we have featured as a client spotlight.

Balanced Growth worked with the UMass Memorial Health Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery on a strategic plan. During this process, BG interviewed the team members of the Division, administered a survey, reviewed extensive background information, and conducted a strategic planning retreat. Together, BG and the Division worked to create a strategic plan to guide the next stage of growth and excellence for the Division.

Balanced Growth helped Catholic Financial Life (CFL) and Catholic United Financial (CUF) join forces on a groundbreaking technology initiative to drive more innovation and collaboration in life insurnance markets. Conventus Now is the resulting joint venture between the two BG clients. Jeff Piotrowski, Managing Director of Conventus NOW expressed, “The Balanced Growth team was invaluable in the joint venture and platform vendor evaluation process. They brought structure, expertise and industry knowledge to our efforts that resulted in a better outcome than we could have achieved alone.”

HealthyChildren.org is the parenting website backed by the 67​,000 pediatricians of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The AAP is committed to the attainment of optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Balanced Growth served as the Strategic Consultant and Program Leader for the strategy, design, development, and deployment of HealthyChildren.org. The site was successfully launched to a worldwide audience in only 9 months. Mark Del Monte, CEO of the AAP, shared “The success of the HealthyChildren.org exceeded our more far-reaching exceptions. As we celebrate 10 years of giving the best pediatrician-powered advice for families, we thank Balanced Growth for the instrumental role they played in envisioning the strategy and leading the implementation of HealthyChildren.org. Jason Bordui and the BG team were as passionate about the success of this initiative as we were.”

The American Venous Forum (AVF) has been a client of Balanced Growth (BG) since 2018. Since working together, the AVF has achieved an organizational turnaround, thus enabling growth even during the COVID-19 pandemic. The  turnaround was achieved by working together as a team which included the AVF Executive Committee, the AVF Board of Directors and BG’s team. Dr. Elna Masuda, the AVF past president explains, “In Hawaii, the Hawaiian term “Lokahi” refers to the value of teamwork, collaboration and cooperation and means when people work together they can achieve more.  Teamwork is the framework which Balanced Growth has fostered and embedded in our culture, and they continue to be an integral part of the success of American Venous Forum as we continue to strive to achieve even more”.
